Exploring our connection to food.

My love of cooking came from the Matriarchs in my family. I would watch them and see how happy they were while they were cooking and I wanted to cook after watching them. I wanted my children to love what I cooked. I strived as a child to make sure to watch what they did and learned from them. I began cooking at age 11. Food always brought my family together and it was always good cooking and a good time.

Meet the Cook and the Editor:

Clarice Parks
Cofounder, Master Baker

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to add your own spin on a common recipe. Maybe you think that they don’t know what they hell they are doing, and you can fix it. Maybe it was already good, and you make it better? Whatever you do, have fun doing it. I have had a passion for cooking and especially baking for years. It has always brought my family together and I have never had a complaint. My niece pushed me to release my recipes because of how delicious they are. I hope you like them, and hope people will think you are the best baker around after using my recipes.

Callie Mae
CEO of Callie Mae LLC

Callie Mae LLC is a company that I founded in May of 2023. I founded the company in honor of my late Grandmother, Callie Mae. I own the company, and I am also Clarice’s niece. I wanted to make sure that her recipes were never lost and that I could somehow preserve them. I regret not doing that with Mama (Elaine) who is Clarice’s sister. This is important and it also helps Clarice. She lives on a fixed income, is 73 years old, and suffers from many health conditions. I am trying to help her increase her monthly income by displaying her gift to the world: Her cooking! Thank you for your love and support and my prayer is that this cookbook brings your family together like the recipes in it have brought mine. I am simply the writer, assistant, and editor of the company and website, as Clarice herself is disabled and isn’t able to get around that well. She does her best though and I am proud of her!

“Once I tried Clarice’s Cake, I could not wait to buy her cookbook. The cake was so phenomenal, I ate every bit of it!
